Simmons rewarded with Test spot


Simmons rewarded with Test spotWest Indies opener Lendl Simmons was given his due for some impressive batting in the ODIs by replacing the injured Adrian Barath for the Test series against Bangladesh.
Barath, 21, suffered a hamstring injury during the first one-day international and has not recovered enough to make the two Test series.

The 26-year-old Simmons is in good form and was the top-scoring batsman with 202 runs in two innings in the three match one-day series which the visitors won 2-1.

The first Test gets underway on Friday in Chittagong.

The West Indies squad for the three-match Test Series in India will be announced later this month.
